The company is a maker of high-efficiency vehicles and is located in Carlsbad California. As a whole the USA has been slow in the development of fuel efficient cars right down to the electric or hybrid variety. Other countries have been far more pro active in trying to find a reliable fast efficient vehicle that won’t rely so heavily on oil. As we have seen over the past few years the oil price has been very unstable rising to well over 150 dollars a barrel at one stage and now falling to less than half that.
