A Surprising Increase In Ajax Real Estate Values

August 27, 2009 on 9:30 am | By admin | In Home | No Comments

People normally buy in the suburbs because they need or want a bigger home for a cheaper price but buying a home as an investment is not usually one of them.  So home owners in the Pickering and Ajax real estate markets had a pleasant surprise recently when a report by a major real estate firm showed that prices for their properties increased even though most of Toronto’s decreased.  One of the reasons might be the fact that in 2010 the province of Ontario is introducing a harmonized sales tax.  This would mean that the cost to buy homes might increase because of higher taxes.  We will just have to wait ind see.
